Milestones
1954 ... Strenco buys the Hörndlein company and thus enters the production of toys, previously producing everyday items such as spectacle cases and umbrella handles made of tin and plastic.

1955... Strenco presented a wide range of purchased and newly developed tin toys for the first time at the toy fair in Nuremberg. Item number 1 was a robot purchased for distribution from the Georg Köhler company. The clockwork-powered toy could run straight ahead and spray sparks. One year later, the tin figure was equipped with a push trolley and a technically sophisticated remote control. Very rare today and a sought-after rarity.
1956 ... the range was extended to include the commercial vehicle series, and a complete crane construction kit was added. The ST. 207 combi crane becomes Strenco's biggest seller.
1957 ... The first plastic animals such as a polar bear, an elephant, etc. appeared. This marked the beginning of the plastic age at Strenco. At this time, around 60% of production was shipped abroad
.

1962 ... the Cape Canaveral stationary missile launch base with assembly tower and automatic assembly platform are presented.
1963 ... a sales and advertising association was founded with the Gescha company, two years later Ludwig Streng took over the company from Max Schmid.
1968... Strenco was only able to stay on the market for a few more years thanks to the outstanding quality of its zinc injection-molded models. The quality of these products was later perfected by the Conrad company.
1971 ... the Strenco brand and all stocks are taken over by the previous supplier Conrad.

2003 ... Takeover of the Strenco brand by Volker F.E. Strauss Carlsberg.

Note: our "Alphabot" was immortalizedby the American painter Eric Joyner in some of his paintings. The scenery in Eric, s art is closely linked to the themes of robots and donuts. So it's no surprise that I'm a big fan of Eric Joyner's artwork.
